My socks, my clothes, and music?

Please answer! 2 Parts!
I am into Mansun, which is progressive rock/80s influenced/Dark Britpop .
Part#1:I love Mansun! How can I better display that love in what I wear? I wanted to iron-on mag. clippings and photos I printed off the comp. onto my socks. (I'd rather have them on tights but know that isn't gonna happen.) I have to pull the socks tight when I iron so that the image isn't pulled apart when I put them on. But the images still don't look 100% and words are hard to read. I also used fabric marker to write on them. That worked but I need something else... I also got this decorative fuzzy thread to sew onto the rim of the socks.
I will attempt some shirts but I really want Mansun on my knee-highs! I also have trouble finding cotton-poly blend items to use for customizing. I stink at sewing and I am very impatient. Any suggestions?Part#2: I only like dark sounding music w/falsettos, melodies, rocky, no cussing, no extreme vulgarness, fun to dance to. Suggest another band?
